Fish Br. drains a watershed that is only moderately developed with no public water withdrawals. The water quality monitoring site is located in Boxford, near Middleton Rd. A large proportion of the watershed is still forested, though 20% of the area is developed. Over 20% of the area is wetland.
Fish Br. is being studied because it is a relatively large watershed that is less impacted
than the Upper Ipswich River site being monitored in Reading and N. Reading. Compare the
water quality parameters here with those in the Upper
Ipswich.
